Introduction

This Privacy Policy outlines S Broaders Consultancy Services T/A Ceritas  (" we ", " our " or " the Company ") practices with respect to information collected from users who access our website at www.ceritas.ie (" Site ") or otherwise share personal information with us (collectively: " Users "). 

S Broaders Consultancy Services T/A Ceritas provides Support Services which include assisting firms seeking regulatory authorisation, working with established firms to help them comply with their ongoing regulatory obligations, Compliance project management, provision of outsourced Compliance services.

We respect your privacy and this notice explains how we handle data which identifies you (“personal data”). You should read it in conjunction with our terms of business, of which this policy forms part. By using this website, you signify your express acceptance of this Privacy Policy.

This Notice has been developed to ensure that individuals whose Personal Data we process feel confident about the privacy and security of Personal Data provided to us in relation to our activities and, being our support services as described above, and to meet our obligations under the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018 (the “Acts”) and Directive (EU) 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR” and together with the Acts, “Data Protection Law”).

Grounds for data collection 

We collect personal data about our clients to provide services to you and to meet our legal obligations.

The legal basis for the processing of this data is processing necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party. There may also be limited circumstances where our legal basis for processing is your consent (where we have sought it and you have provided it to us), in which case you can withdraw your consent at any time.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in the administration and operation of our business as well as our legitimate interest in marketing and promoting our consulting services. 

The legal basis  is compliance with legal obligations.

How do we use your personal data?

We will only use your data for the purpose it was provided and in ways compatible with that stated purpose. If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
Except as set out in in this Notice, we will not disclose Personal Data that we collect to any parties other than those with whom we partner or are affiliated with, without your consent. Except as described below, we will not sell, share, trade, rent, or give away your Personal Data.

    Store

    We keep personal information in physical and electronic records at our premises. We also store data in the cloud. All our data is stored within the EU including data stored through our cloud storage service providers.

    Retention

    We will not retain Personal Data for longer than is necessary in relation to the purpose for which it is collected, subject to Data Protection Law. As a guide, Personal Data will be retained for the duration of your contract for services with us and for a minimum period of seven years following the termination of that contract.
    When Personal Data is no longer required for the purpose it was collected or as required by applicable law, it will be deleted.

    Cookies

    We and our trusted partners use cookies and other technologies in our related services, including when you visit our Site or access our services. 

    A "cookie" is a small piece of information that a website assigns to your device while you are viewing a website. Cookies are very helpful and can be used for various different purposes.     We also use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about your use of the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users access the Site, which pages they visit, when they do so, etc. We use the information we obtain from Google Analytics only to improve our Site and services. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit sites, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.

    Third-party collection of information

    Our policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent you disclose your information to other parties or sites throughout the internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. Accordingly, we encourage you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of each third party that you choose to disclose information to. 

    This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, nor to individuals whom we do not employ or manage, including any of the third parties which we may disclose information to as set out in this Privacy Policy. 

    Transfer of data outside the EEA 

    We will not transfer any data outside of the European Economic Area, unless specifically requested to do so by you, depending on the circumstances of your transaction.

    Updates or amendments to this Privacy Policy

    We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise the Privacy Policy; material changes will be effective immediately upon the display of the revised Privacy policy.  Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your acknowledgment and consent of such amendments to the Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the terms of such amendments.  Users of this website should regularly check this Policy for any amendments.
